My name is Lilou Sticks and for the moment, I have nowhere to call home.

So everyday, I read, take pictures, watch films, eat cinnamon buns and cookies, go to museums, drink blue water, walk, I walk a lot, a whole lot, look at mirrors, listen to music, touch fabrics, taste and smell everything around me.

This is how I am trying to remember where I come from.

If you feel the same way I do, let’s try to find our homes together.

Lilou: Proust Questonnaire

I’m in Paris.

It was cold yesterday, maybe a bit too cold for me to be walking in the park. But around this time of year, it's mostly empty, so it’s a good quiet place.  And I felt like I needed quiet.
In the middle of my walk, I spotted a man sitting on a small bench, dressed in a big black cape, a tall hat with a funny little mustache. A magician!
So I went and sat right next to him.
He looked busy thinking so I felt shy to bother him right away, I waited a bit but he never turned to look at me. Then I sneezed.
He jumped, turned to me and said:
“Oh, hello Mademoiselle, how do you do?”
I said I was just fine and I asked him if he was a magician. He said:
“Oh! No no! I am afraid not! Let me introduce myself, Monsieur Proust. Enchanté.”
I said:
“Proust? You mean Marcel Proust, the writer?!”
He said:
“Yes, that iz correct.”
I said:
“But you are dead!”
This didn’t seem to bother him and he said:

I didn’t know what to do after this so I just sat quietly until he pulled out a little notebook and a pen and he started talking again:
“I like collecting interviews from people I meet, would you be willing to answer a few questions about yourself? It iz quite a lot of fun, you might learn things about yourself you didn’t know!”

So I said sure, sure, why not.

He didn’t let me keep the paper he was writing on, but I remembered most of the questions. Here they are:

Mr. Proust’s Questionnaire
